When we deny difficult feelings, more suffering is created. Practicing the art of welcoming your feelings may not come easy, but creating the space to reflect and thoughtfully respond will make room for calming and soothing you.

WELCOMING YOUR FEELINGS MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
So anchor into your breath,
Breathing in…
And out.
PAUSE…
Relax your mind.
Soften your face,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Belly and legs
Release all the tension and tightness in your body.
PAUSE…
Life can feel intense when all the feelings arise.
It’s natural to want to push them away.
But there is strength in letting them flow.
PAUSE…
So many highs,
And so many lows.
PAUSE…
Like waves of the ocean,
Crashing over and over again.
So much inside of you, wants to be seen,
Needs to be heard,
Craves to be felt.
PAUSE…
Notice the tendency to resist,
A desire to reach for a positive feeling,
The urge to push away painful ones.
PAUSE…
Feel a comforting cloud of compassion,
And a soft blanket of love.
As you acknowledge and welcome all the feelings.
There’s no reason to be afraid.
You are safe.
PAUSE…
Be here with all the feelings.
Knowing they have lessons to teach,
And meaning to give.
