So Let’s Begin…

TRANSITIONS MEDITATION SCRIPT

 

Come into yourself.
Quiety.
Softly.
Peacefully.

PAUSE

Take a minute,
And just be.

Be with yourself.

PAUSE

Now, imagine, if you can,
Sitting the way you are–
With this peace and quiet–
In nature on an autumn day.

PAUSE

And, while sitting,
Reflect on the changes
In nature.

Draw in a deep breath,
A breath of cool, crisp
Autumn air.
Air that just a month ago,
Held the heaviness
Of heat and humidity in it.
Now, this air
Feels purifying, refreshing.

PAUSE

Now, reflect on the
Transition of the green leaves,
As the green gives way
To the magnificent hues of fall.
From green to red.
From green to orange.
From green to golden.
And, as the leaves
Change color
Before your eyes,
Reflect for a moment
On what you
Might want to change.

PAUSE

And, now,
Reflect for a moment,
On the next
Transition of the leaves.

Imagine them
Letting go from their branches,
And gliding seamlessly
To the ground.

And, as they transition,
Reflect on what
You might need
To let go of
In your life.

PAUSE

Now, take a moment
And sit with
These reflections.
Sit with how
Autumn,
And its beauty and changes,
Lives in you.

PAUSE

And, when you
Come to the awareness
Of how autumn
Lives and breathes

In you,
Give thanks

For the ability
To change.

For, if there’s one thing
You can count on,
It’s that life is filled
With change.
