Today’s ego meditation will be a guided visualization that will help you practice transcending the ego.

Good morning, beautiful,

Our theme this week is the ego.

Transcendence happens when we go beyond the limits of something.

To transcend our ego means that we practice going beyond its limits,

And enter the limitless energy of love.

So this morning’s meditation will be a guided visualization that will help you practice transcending the ego.

So Let’s Begin…

TRANSCENDING THE EGO – EGO MEDITATION SCRIPT

Relax,

And settle into your breath.

In and out,

Surrendering to its comforting rhythm,

And coming inside.

Breathe…

PAUSE…

Now, see if you can imagine yourself sitting on a couch in a small, comfortable house.

The room is warm and inviting,

The air is light,

And the sun is shining in.

You feel good here.

Safe.

PAUSE…

You have everything you need to survive here.

Running water,

Food in the kitchen,

And the shelter of the house that keeps you safe.

PAUSE…

Slowly, you get up,

And walk to the front door to open it.

And when you do, you feel the rush of delight.

Outside, you see the bright pinks, yellows and greens in the flowers and trees.

You feel the enlivening warmth of the sun streaming in.

You hear the songs of the birds and the breezes flowing through the trees.

You see the vastness of the outside and feel its freedom captivate you.

PAUSE…

Only now as you stand here in this open door do you realize how small your house is,

How limited,

How muted.

So you decide to take a step outside,

Out of the house of ego,

And into the unlimited spaces of love.

Breathe,

And let yourself go.
