So Let’s Begin…
THE PHOENIX AND FEAR MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
Close your eyes
And open your mind.
Let your body sink into
The chair or bed,
So you can unwind.
PAUSE
As your body relaxes,
Catch any thoughts
You need to stash away.
Prepare to receive
On this beautiful day.
PAUSE
Life is full of fear
That causes anxiety and stress.
It can put you in a position
Of living in duress.
PAUSE
So, take a minute and breath,
And touch upon your fear.
Is it holding you back,
Try to observe it
And get clear.
PAUSE
Now, give your fear a voice,
Let it rumble and rant.
Then acknowledge it
And thank it,
And repeat that like a chant.
PAUSE
Keep yourself steady,
Let the fear burst into flames.
Watch it from a distance–
Take a step back from the pain.
PAUSE
And through fear’s ashes,
See yourself rise.
Breathe. Embrace it.
Let yourself fly.
PAUSE
And while floating above the fear,
Listen gently to these words.
They’re probably something
You haven’t heard.
In The Way of the Peaceful Warrior
These potent words are said:
“Courage is not the absence of fear
But the conquering of it.”
Take a moment,
And breathe in this quote.
Take a moment
To really connect with
What Millman wrote.
PAUSE
For fear is state
That exists in our mind.
It can be realistic,
But it can also make us blind.
PAUSE
And you are like the phoenix,
So spread your wings.
You’ll face fear again,
So prepare for conquering.
PAUSE
Now, hold that image
Of the fiery bird,
And remember,
You got what it takes
To fly high in this world.
NAMASTE, BEAUTIFUL
