Thank You for the Things (Thank You) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation is a thank you for all the things that bring ease, joy and experiences into your life.

Good morning, beautiful.

This week, our meditations are all a big thank you.

When it comes down to it, we all know that the “things” in our life don’t really matter much. That our connection to ourselves, others, our planet and the universal force connecting us all is key. That laughter between friends is far more meaningful and fulfilling than any thing you can buy.

That said, today’s meditation is a thank you to all those things we have in our lives. Because feeling appreciation for them always puts into focus how blessed we really are, and it acknowledges the deeper gifts that many of our things give to us.

Your device, for example, that is giving you the ability to easily listen to this meditation, which gives you a beautiful way to infuse your day with love and presence.

That is the attitude with which we say thank you to our things today.

So Let’s Begin…

THANK YOU FOR THE THINGS THANK YOU MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

So close your eyes,

And settle into a position that allows you to be relaxed and alert.

PAUSE…

Bring your attention to your breathing.

Feeling the smoothe waves of air coming in,

And going out.

Breath in,

Breathe out.

PAUSE…

Come into presence here.

Allowing any thoughts or emotions to simply pass by,

As you settle deeper into you.

PAUSE…

Thank you for all the things.

For the roof over my head.

For the transportation that allows me to go where I want to go.

PAUSE…

Thank you for access to devices,

Computers, tablets, phones and more that place people, information and resources right at my fingertips.

PAUSE…

Thank you for the money I have,

For the ability it gives me to get what I need and want.

PAUSE…

Thank you for the games, toys and experiences that bring me enjoyment and entertainment.

PAUSE…

Thank you for the umbrella that protects me from the rain,

The gloves that keep my hands warm,

And the bathing suites that allow me to be one with the water.

PAUSE…

Now, for the next few moments,

Allow yourself to say thanks for any thing you have that has added joy, convenience or ease into your life.

LONG PAUSE…

Thank you for all the things.
