Cultivating Empathy for Others (Forgiveness) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation will help you cultivate empathy for others.

It’s easy to love others when times are good. But it can be difficult to love others when things are tough or when someone has different values or opinions than we do.

To empathize means to understand and share the feelings of others. And when we take the time to truly empathize with others, we can open up a space for compassion and love, even in tough times. And even with those who we disagree.

So Let’s Begin…

CULTIVATING EMPATHY FOR OTHERS MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

So go ahead and settle in,

Resting your eyes shut,

And making any adjustments to your body you need to make,

And then exhale as you drop into your position.

PAUSE…

Find your breath,

Expanding each inhale and exhale as it slows you down.

Breathe,

And keep your attention on the rhythm of your body as you breathe in,

And breathe out.

PAUSE…

From this place of calm stillness,

See if you can think about someone with whom you’ve had a moment of friction lately.

This could be a life partner who recently drove you crazy,

Or a work colleague with whom you disagree.

A child with whom you can’t see eye to eye,

Or even a public figure who has enraged you from afar.

PAUSE…

As you think about this person,

Notice any emotion or judgemental thoughts that come up.

Let them gather like rolling storm clouds above you,

And every time you breathe out,

Imagine that cloud is drifting away,

Releasing you from its negativity.

Breathe it all out.

And keep coming back to the calm stillness inside.

PAUSE…

Now with the vision of this person in your mind,

Clear from the clouds of triggered emotions or judgements,

Imagine yourself looking deeply into their eyes.

Inside you can see scenes of their humanness.

You see this person as a baby,

Vulnerable and fresh.

Just like you were.

You see this person in tears,

In a dark and lonely moment.

Just like you have been.

You see this person hugging someone they love,

Just like you have.

You see someone’s past shaping their character and worldview,

Just as yours has.

PAUSE…

Be here with this vision for a bit.

LONG PAUSE…

Bring your hands to your heart as we end with this intention.

May I infuse my heart and my actions with empathy for others today, so that I may add more love into the world.

Namaste, Beautiful.

Forgiveness Meditation (Forgiveness) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation will help you practice forgiveness.

Forgiveness clears a path so that love can thrive. It cuts down the thick weeds of pain and ego so that we may ultimately find freedom.

So Let’s Begin…

FORGIVENESS MEDITATION SCRIPT

So come inside and find your breath.

Letting your body relax deeply into its rhythm,

As you follow the air going in,

And going out.

Let that circular motion of your breathing relax you,

Detach you from your thoughts,

And rest inside within that special place of peace.

PAUSE…

Oprah said, “Forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could have been any different.”

PAUSE…

As you hear those words, let yourself sit in what may come up.

PAUSE…

Is there someone you need to forgive?

PAUSE…

Imagine them in front of you,

Holding your outstretched hands.

If this image brings up fear or pain for you, take a deep breath in and know you are safe here.

Imagine that past that you’ve wished were different,

And then just breathe,

Feeling the air cleansing you with each inhale,

And releasing the pain, the memories and the fear with each exhale.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

PAUSE…

Now imagine yourself looking up into the eyes of the person in front of you,

And hear yourself say,

I forgive you.

I forgive you.

I forgive you.

LONG PAUSE…

Notice the lightness in your body,

The lightness of your soul.

And as you look up, you see the only rays of light beaming in front of you.

You’ve let go.

Namaste, Beautiful.

Clarity in the Stillness (Be Still) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation will give you the opportunity to close your eyes so you can see clearly, and find clarity in the stillness.

Come and close your eyes, my love, so you can see clearly.

And let the stillness reveal the truth.

So Let’s Begin…

CLARITY IN THE STILLNESS MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

Let your body relax,

And your mind slow down.

Let your breath soothe you,

Lulling you into a calm, peaceful rhythm,

Bringing you into the magic of this moment.

PAUSE…

Surrender to the stillness,

The place where ego and time don’t exist,

The place that your soul calls home.

Come here,

And rest.

PAUSE…

Here is where clarity will come to you,

Without warning,

Without effort.

So let go,

And be here in the stillness.

LONG PAUSE…

Namaste, Beautiful.

The Power of Stillness (Be Still) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation will help you spend time in your stillness.

Why is stillness so important?

Because it’s the access point for peace,

Love,

And connection with our diving selves.

The true power of stillness is that the more we access it, the easier it becomes for its benefits to trickle into all parts of our lives.

So Let’s Begin…

THE POWER OF STILLNESS MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

So come with me, my love,

Into your stillness.

Into the calm parts of you that so often are invisible because of the noise in your head,

The noise in the world.

Come into the stillness,

And rest.

You are home here.

PAUSE…

What feels like a miniscule opening to enter,

Opens up an endless world inside of you.

A world of peace and joy and love.

PAUSE…

A world of deep wisdom about the ways of the Universe,

And knowing exactly who you are within it all.

PAUSE…

We all hesitate surrendering to the stillness,

Often telling ourselves we prefer the loudness and motion of our days.

It can be scary here.

Because the noise can’t cover the truth.

The truth of our dark parts,

The truth of our greatness.

We’re naked and raw in the stillness.

PAUSE…

But let any fear dissolve,

Because only love lives in the stillness.

So be here, and feel the warmth of love surround you.

LONG PAUSE…

Namaste, Beautiful.

Practicing Silence (Be Still) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation will give you a space to practice silence.

We’ll begin with a little bit of guidance and then the music will play as you practice being with the silence, practice touching the stillness.

So Let’s Begin…

PRACTICING SILENCE MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

So close your eyes,

And let yourself find a position that’s comfortable for you.

Adjusting your body a bit,

And then taking one deep breath in,

And exhaling a big sigh as you settle your body deeper.

PAUSE…

And let’s set an intention for our meditation.

May I practice silence this morning with grace, presence and a deep surrender to the stillness.

Now let the music play as you begin your practice.

LONG PAUSE…

Now slowly bring your attention back to your breath.

Bring your hands to your heart and bow your head,

Accepting this meditation exactly as it was, exactly as it needed to be today.

Thank you for being here with me.

Namaste, Beautiful.

Mini Moments of Stillness (Be Still) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation will help you find mini moments of stillness throughout the day.

It is common thought that the goal of meditation is to be still all the time.

To have a silent mind and a deep stillness for the entirety of the meditation.

But this is not true.

Meditation is simply a tool to use to practice touching our stillness, to practice letting go of our thoughts, to practice being present.

The true beauty of meditation is that it helps us to become more mindful of the moments of stillness we can experience throughout the day. And is the tool we can use to connect to it.

Mini moments of stillness.

Closing our eyes in the car when we’re parked and taking deep breaths before we walk into the house.

Feeling the warm water on your body during a shower with deep gratitude for the luxury.

Laughing with our kids in a state of raw presence.

So this morning’s meditation will give you the opportunity to kickstart your day present to all the mini moments of stillness awaiting you.

So Let’s Begin…

MINI MOMENTS OF STILLNESS MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

So breathe in,

And bring your attention inward.

Beginning our meditation with a wave of release,

Letting go of your expectations of what this should be,

What should happen,

How you should feel.

Let them all go,

Like the leaves of a tree falling to the ground.

And simply be here with your breath.

PAUSE…

Use your breath as your anchor to this moment,

A way to bring you back when your mind calls you to dance with thoughts.

Find your breath and be here.

PAUSE…

Breathe in refreshing oxygen,

Breathe out expectations.

Breathe in presence,

Breathe out the thoughts.

LONG PAUSE…

As the day progresses,

And you find yourself lost in thoughts,

Caught up in the swirling movement of life,

Come back here,

And find your mini moments of stillness.

Namaste, Beautiful.

Connect to the Stillness (Be Still) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation will help you connect to the stillness inside.

Stillness is a calm, quiet, motionless state. It’s the space between our breaths.  It’s the silent space of presence where time stops and we find ourselves floating in the truth of our spirit.

We can use meditation as a tool to dissolve the noise and thoughts so we can connect with the stillness inside.

Because the stillness is where we are one with ourselves,

Where we are peaceful,

And where we are tuned in to the wisdom of the Universe.

So Let’s Begin…

CONNECT TO THE STILLNESS MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

So settle into a position that’s comfortable for you,

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in,

Inviting in the cleansing, fresh air,

And exhaling it all out with a sigh.

Let your breathing slow down with each breath,

Letting it pull your body into a relaxed, calming cadence.

Breathe…

PAUSE…

Follow your breath,

In and out of your body,

Let it help you release your thoughts,

Ease your mind.

And be here now,

Present to this moment.

One with your body,

One with your soul.

Breathe…

PAUSE…

Stillness is not something you seek out,

It’s something you surrender to.

So stay here with your breath,

And let go,

As you practice connecting to the stillness…

LONG PAUSE…

Namaste, Beautiful.

Coco Chanel (Daily Quotes) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation is a chance for you to meditate on a quote from Coco Chanel.

The world will cover you in shoulds.

Their voices are so loud that they can often become your own,

Pretending to be your real voice.

PAUSE…

But don’t be fooled,

These shoulds are not you.

So unravel them all,

And keep the real you exposed,

The you who knows who you are,

And what you want.

“A girl should be two things: who and what she wants.” Coco Chanel.

So Let’s Begin…

Or unworthy,

Or less than.

You are whole,

Just the way you are right now.

PAUSE…

A girl should be two things: who and what she wants.

So come inside,

Present to who you are,

And what you want.

LONG PAUSE…
