Today’s morning meditation will inspire you with a loving and firm reminder to suck it up, buttercup…and do what needs to be done.
Good morning, beautiful,
Our theme this week is discipline.
Suck it up, buttercup.
I heard this phrase a lot as a kid, mostly from coaches and occasionally from my parents.
It always found its way to my ears when I was complaining about something I didn’t want to do, but knew I had to.
I say this phrase to myself a lot in adulthood too.
Mostly when my emotions want to steer me away from things I simply have to do. Or, more appropriately, things I have to do in order to get what I really want.
So, I invite you to let today’s meditation be listened to with the loving, yet firm attitude with which my coaches gave it to me.
The friendly kick in the butt you need in order to show up to the things you don’t want to do, but know you need to do, so you can get what you most want.
So Let’s Begin…

SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP DISCIPLINE MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
So come inside,
Settling your body,
Your mind,
And your heart into comfort.
PAUSE…
Feel yourself surrounded by compassion,
And grace.
This is a new moment,
A chance for you to show up in your life with a fresh attitude,
And a new wave of energy.
PAUSE…
So listen for the caring and firm words from your inner voice,
That sweet soul who speaks your truth.
PAUSE…
She knows you have it in you.
She knows you’re capable.
She knows you deserve what’s on the other side of your disciplined actions.
LONG PAUSE…
Hear her now,
And let her encouraging words fill you up,
And propel you forward.
Namaste, Beautiful.
