The source of your body’s power.
Take a deep breath and absorb its rhythm,
Its strong and silent cadence.
Send your awareness elsewhere,
To the calm resting in your mind.
No noise, no busy-ness, no chatter,
Only peace for you to find.
Focus on the serenity of ears at rest,
No work for them to do.
Quiet surrounds you inside and out,
Crafting a sanctuary in which to retreat.
Silence affects your limbs as well,
Stillness washing over muscles and bones.
Hold your body in place and feel the calm,
Breathe into its tranquil embrace.
As you breathe, concentrate on your lungs,
On the way they quietly serve.
Secretly, silently keeping you going,
Perpetually pulling in what you need.
Give thanks for your body’s quiet heroes,
