So Let’s Begin…

SELF-CARE FROM THE HEART MEDITATION SCRIPT
Close your eyes and take a deep breath.
Not just any breath,
But a breath that welcomes you home.
PAUSE
A breath that asks,
How are you, really?
A breath that invites honesty,
Not just the surface answers
You give to the world.
PAUSE
Let yourself arrive here,
Fully, completely,
Without needing to be anything
Or do anything.
PAUSE
So often,
Self-care is sold to us
As something external.
A bath, a walk, a ritual.
But what if self-care
Is a whisper from your heart?
PAUSE
What if it’s less about doing,
And more about listening?
PAUSE
Ask yourself now:
What do I truly need?
Not what I should do,
Not what others expect of me,
But what my soul is calling for.
PAUSE
Let the question settle.
Let it echo within.
LONG PAUSE
Is it rest?
Is it space?
Is it permission to feel?
PAUSE
Perhaps it’s the courage
To set a boundary,
Or the softness
To let yourself be held.
PAUSE
Whatever rises,
Welcome it.
PAUSE
Your heart speaks in quiet ways,
And self-care is the art of listening.
PAUSE
Breathe in compassion.
Breathe out the guilt
For putting yourself first.
PAUSE
Now, place your hand on your heart,
And whisper to yourself,
“I am worthy of my own care.”
PAUSE
There is no one else
Who can care for you
The way you can.
PAUSE
Not just today.
Not just when you’re exhausted.
But every day.
In every moment.
PAUSE
May you walk forward
With a softer heart,
A gentler spirit,
And a devotion
To your own well-being.
PAUSE
Namaste, Beautiful.
