RELEASING FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN MEDITATION SCRIPT
Allow your body to relax,
To simply melt into the bed or chair,
And let go of any stress,
Release any cares.
PAUSE
And breathe in relaxation,
Throughout all of you.
Embrace the peace
And the tranquility, through and through.
PAUSE
Sometimes, you may feel fear,
And you don’t know why.
But it has your anxiety
Mounting to the sky.
PAUSE
And, this fear seems irrational,
It’s so unclear.
Sometimes, you may scream in anger;
Sometimes, there may be tears.
PAUSE
So breathe in caring for yourself,
And ease off the stress,
This is fear of the unknown,
And if you allow it,
It can cause distress.
PAUSE
Fear of the unknown lives
In your desire to control.
It’s normal and natural,
But it can freeze your soul.
PAUSE
So, imagine your fear
Like a deep, dark cave.
It’s cold. It’s scary.
Until a single match lights your way.
PAUSE
And from that little match,
You see the rock formations on the wall,
And shiny crystals forming,
Both big and small.
PAUSE
Now, imagine dozens more matches
Lighting up the dark,
Allowing you to see the cave’s beauty
With each tiny spark.
PAUSE
Now, release your dark fear,
So it’s not controlling you.
And breathe in the open possibilities
That are all around you.
PAUSE
And, as you walk through the cave
While the little lights shine,
Take in the joy of the choices around you,
One step at a time.
PAUSE
For the unknown can be wonderful,
If it’s viewed with positive sight,
It’s open-ended, and ready to be formed,
So…
Release the fear.
Embrace the light.
