There is a vulnerability in asking for help, and so it can feel far more comfortable being seen as the ‘helper’ rather than ‘the helped’. But both giving and receiving bring us closer to each other, and the act of receiving can be a gift just as much as the act of giving.
So Let’s Begin…
RECEIVE HELP MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
Relax your body,
And your mind.
And fall into the rhythm of your breath.
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
Feeling the natural cycle of inhaling,
And exhaling.
In,
And out.
Receiving,
And giving.
PAUSE…
See if you can bring to mind a moment when you were able to help someone.
PAUSE…
Remember the good feelings you had as you were in service to another.
PAUSE…
Now, see if you can imagine all the ways that you need help.
And see if you can feel the lightness of letting go.
PAUSE…
Just as you are filled by helping others,
Others are filled by helping you.
So release your hold,
And unravel your control.
And open yourself to receiving help.
