Noticing Resistance (Resistance) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation gives you the space to practice noticing resistance. 

Good morning, beautiful. 

Our theme this week is resistance.

Our resistance to something isn’t always obvious.  It’s often hidden underneath stress or anger or fear.  Transcending our resistance first requires us to notice it.  

Without judgement,

And with a lot of compassion.

So Let’s Begin…

NOTICING RESISTANCE MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

So allow yourself to settle into the rhythm of your breath.

Letting your attention ride the waves of air going in,

And the air going out.

PAUSE…

Bring your attention onto your belly,

Feeling it expand with your inhale,

And contract with your exhale.

PAUSE…

Relax,

And find your stillness.

PAUSE…

Resistance can live as tightness in our bodies,

Rapid movement in our minds,

Or heaviness in our spirits.

PAUSE…

So for the next little bit,

Take a gentle inventory of yourself,

And just notice where resistance lives.

LONG PAUSE (3 MINS)…

There’s no need to do,

No need to fix.

Just noticing resistance can help it dissolve.

So take a look again,

And notice any resistance that is here.

LONG PAUSE…

Now bring your hands to your heart.

Bow your head and welcome in the healing and loving energy that’s here for you.
