Our theme this week has been the ego.
As we practice identifying and transcending the ego, it can feel right to condemn her. To vilify our ego and make all those reactions and thoughts she creates wrong.
But our egos are a part of us. And there’s a reason she’s here.
So today’s meditation will help you make friends with your ego, so you can coexist with her in peace.
So Let’s Begin…

MAKING FRIENDS WITH THE EGO – EGO MEDITATION SCRIPT
Let’s begin by taking a deep, refreshing breath in,
Feeling the air go all the way to your fingers and your toes,
And then release, breathing it out to the very last drop of air.
Settle into a nice, easy rhythm of breathing,
Slowing yourself down with every breath.
Breathe…
And let your breath bring you here.
To this moment.
PAUSE…
She’s here for a reason.
She wants to keep you safe.
And she’s here to teach you.
To teach you compassion,
Teach you forgiveness.
Teach you discomfort,
Teach you growth.
PAUSE…
So hold your hands out to her,
Your precious ego,
And let your fingers intertwine.
And be here with her.
Aware of her separateness from you,
And your connection.
Grateful for her lessons,
Grateful for her presence.
Be here with her and let love wrap its arms around you both.
