Today’s morning meditation is a special space for you to look back on the past year or more and reflect on what you find.
Good morning, beautiful.
This week, our theme is look back.
My intention in creating these meditations is to give you an opportunity to reflect back on your life this past year. To give you this sacred space to identify the lessons learned, the moments created, and the love that existed within it all. And to honor the growth you’ve had and ultimately, to feel deeply grateful for who you’ve become and where you are now. These meditations are not meant to keep you in the past, but to use it to deepen your presence and to consciously shape your future.
So Let’s Begin…

LOOK BACK ON THE FIRST YEAR LOOK BACK MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
So come and settle in,
Inviting your body and your mind to sink into rhythm.
PAUSE…
Finding comfort in your breath.
Finding some silence in your mind.
And opening yourself for this moment.
PAUSE…
Breathe out any expectations you might have about what this meditation needs to be,
Or what it needs to produce for you.
And bring yourself into this moment,
Clear,
And ready to allow this time to unfold as it will.
PAUSE…
Now see if you can bring up a general picture of what your life looked like one year ago.
Who were you?
How did you spend your time?
What was important to you?
What was your attitude?
LONG PAUSE…
Use this as your starting point,
And for the next little bit,
Think about the life you’ve lived since that time.
Think about who you’ve become,
The lessons you’ve learned,
The joyful moments,
The challenging moments,
And the people and gifts that have peppered this time.
LONG PAUSE (2 MINS)…
Now be here,
With all of the feelings and thoughts that have come up.
Take a big, deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Wrap your arms around it all,
And let yourself feel grateful.
PAUSE…
Grateful for the time.
Grateful for the memories.
And grateful for all the love.
