Today’s morning meditation will be a guided visualization that will allow you to practice listening to others.
Good morning, beautiful,
This week, we’re meditating about listening.
Margaret Wheatley said, “Listening is such a simple act. It requires us to be present, and that takes practice, but we don’t have to do anything else. We don’t have to advise, or coach, or sound wise. We just have to be willing to sit there and listen.”
So this morning’s meditation will be a guided visualization that will allow you to practice listening to others.
So Let’s Begin…

LISTENING TO OTHERS LISTENING MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
So bring yourself into comfort,
Closing your eyes,
Relaxing your jaw,
Dropping your shoulders,
And opening your chest.
PAUSE…
Now breathe in fully,
And feel the air flow all the way down to your toes,
And then exhale,
Releasing the air and settling deeper into this moment.
PAUSE…
Now see if you can imagine yourself sitting in front of someone you love,
And paint a scene where they are talking, and you are simply being present and listening to them.
Without responding. Without judging. Just listening with love, understanding and empathy.
LONG PAUSE…
Now, see if you can imagine that you are now sitting in front of someone whom you’ve had some challenges with, or who isn’t necessarily in your circle of friends.
Imagine them talking to you about something that’s important to them.
And just practice being here with them.
Present, open, full of empathy, and listening.
LONG PAUSE…
Listening to others helps us build bridges of connection and understanding.
I honor you for practicing with me today.
Namaste, Beautiful
