LET GO OF YOUR EXPECTATIONS LETTING GO MEDITATION SCRIPT
Close your eyes, and relax your body,
Sinking a little further into comfort with every breath out.
Relax your cheeks,
Lower your shoulders,
Soften your belly,
And relax your legs.
PAUSE…
Letting go of your expectations doesn’t mean you need to lower your standards,
Or give up on your dreams.
To let go of your expectations means to release your tight grip on life,
To let go of the need to control,
And instead surrender to the sweet rhythm of your life,
And be with what is.
PAUSE…
How can you let go of your expectations today?
As ideas come up, imagine each one being released from your opening hand,
Escaping the grips of your fist and finding new life in the openness of the present.
LONG PAUSE…
Feel the chains of expectation loosen,
And feel your body relaxing deeper,
Your mind calm and relaxed.
