So Let’s Begin…

LEAN ON INVISIBLE HANDS MEDITATION SCRIPT
September is National Suicide Prevention Month…it’s a time to remember the lives lost to suicide, acknowledge the millions more who have experienced suicidal thoughts, and the many individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by suicide.
It is really important to me to provide some meditations for those who might need them, so I asked my good friend, who has been personally impacted by suicide, to write this week’s meditations. If you or someone you know could use it, please listen and share.
If you feel you need someone to talk with right now, you are not alone. In the U.S., you can call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. If you’re elsewhere, please look online for a local crisis number, or text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line).
****
Close your eyes, love.
There is a softness here for you.
A hush inside the noise.
PAUSE…
Breathe in,
and feel how the air itself cradles you —
an invisible hand beneath your chest,
holding your beating heart steady.
PAUSE…
You have walked miles alone,
shoulders bowed beneath secrets and worry.
You have whispered prayers into your pillow,
wondering if anyone heard.
I promise you —
nothing you have carried
has gone unseen.
PAUSE…
Some hands hold you in ways you cannot name:
the mother’s hope that birthed you,
the quiet prayers of your ancestors,
the stranger’s kindness you did not expect,
the friend’s voice at midnight,
your own breath —
yes, even that —
a hand you lean on with every inhale.
PAUSE…
Breathe, beloved.
Notice how the ground does not abandon your feet.
How the sun keeps finding your skin,
even on days you hide indoors.
How the world hums softly,
Stay, stay.
PAUSE…
You do not carry this life alone.
You never have.
You never will.
PAUSE…
Even in your darkest hour,
a thousand unseen hands reached for you:
to steady your fall,
to brush your tears,
to remind you —
you are worth saving.
PAUSE…
Feel them now.
Imagine warm palms on your back,
steady arms beneath your tired bones,
a circle of light around your weary spirit.
PAUSE…
You are loved beyond your knowing.
You are held beyond your seeing by the universe.
PAUSE…
So rest, precious soul.
Lean back into the hands that never let you go.
Trust that love has found a thousand ways
to keep you here, breathing, rising again.
PAUSE…
Exhale into the waiting hands.
Stand, soft but unbroken.
PAUSE…
Namaste, Beautiful.
