So Let’s Begin…

LAY DOWN WHAT YOU CARRY MEDITATION SCRIPT
Find a quiet, comfortable place
where you can just let yourself breathe.
PAUSE
Take a slow, deep breath in.
Exhale fully,
as if you’re releasing more than air.
PAUSE
I know you carry so much.
Responsibilities, worries,
the invisible weight of all you hold for others.
And sometimes, it feels like too much.
PAUSE
Imagine yourself standing
before a sacred altar.
It glows softly,
a steady presence that feels safe and holy.
This altar was made for you—
a place to set down what you no longer need to hold.
PAUSE
Look down at your hands,
and notice what you’ve been carrying.
Perhaps it’s the weight of expectations,
the heaviness of stress,
or the ache of grief.
You don’t have to name each one.
Just feel the weight you’ve been holding.
PAUSE
Now, gently place that weight
onto the altar before you.
Lay it down,
as if you’re setting down something precious.
Notice how the altar receives it with care.
Every burden is treated tenderly here.
LONG PAUSE
Take another breath.
Feel into your chest.
Is there something else you’ve been holding?
Another worry,
a pressure,
an old story you’re tired of carrying?
Lift it from yourself,
and place it onto the altar.
Release it into hands wiser than your own.
PAUSE
The how is not your job.
You don’t need to fix it.
You don’t need to figure out what happens next.
The altar,
the universe,
takes care of it for you.
All you’re asked to do
is to lay it down.
PAUSE
Notice how your body feels
as the weight leaves you.
Your shoulders lighter.
Your chest freer.
Your breath easier.
PAUSE
And if more comes up—
if you notice something else you’ve been carrying—
place it gently on the altar too.
One by one,
set them all down.
PAUSE
The altar receives it all.
PAUSE
Rest now,
with empty hands.
Feel the spaciousness in your body.
The quiet in your chest.
The lightness in your breath.
LONG PAUSE
Namaste, Beautiful.
