So Let’s Begin…
INSIGHTS FROM THE PAST MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
Take a moment to breathe
and to prepare yourself
for something new.
PAUSE…
Take another breath,
and in this state,
imagine Mahatma Gandhi
standing before you,
outstretching his hand.
LONG PAUSE
As soon as you touch his hand,
you find yourself on mountaintop,
sitting and sipping some tea,
just you and Gandhi.
PAUSE
A gentle breeze brushes your cheeks,
as you wait in anticipation
for what Gandhi will say,
but he sits quietly,
sipping the lemony tea.
PAUSE
You draw in a deep breath,
and as you release it,
you ask him,
“How did you do it?”
PAUSE
Gandhi sets his teacup down,
rubs his hands over his head
and laughs.
PAUSE
“There was a time,
When I didn’t really know what I was doing;
I just did it,”
he says with a smile.
PAUSE
Puzzled, you cock your head
and look for clues
in his deep charcoal eyes.
PAUSE
“But, after a while,”he says,
“I grew to know..
I came from a place of love
in all parts of my life.”
PAUSE
You pause for a moment,
listening with intent.
then, you and Gandhi stand up,
and he waves his hand,
and all across the valley below
are scenes from his life,
all the scenes in which he made love the focus.
PAUSE
You gaze at the scenes in awe,
and then he points to a specific scene
where he prays for love in the world,
and the beauty of his prayer
wraps around your heart.
PAUSE
After a few moments,
he returns you to your room.
Together, you take some deep breaths,
as he begins to fade away.
PAUSE
Quietly, you repeat what he said,
“Come from a place of love.”
You say it like a mantra,
again and again
until it sinks into your bones.
Until you feel you come from
a place of love.
PAUSE
And with the love
flooding through you,
you’re ready for the day.
NAMASTE, BEAUTIFUL
