So Let’s Begin…

GNOME MAGIC MEDITATION SCRIPT
Softly settle in and breathe.
Let your breath connect you,
With all that’s around you.
PAUSE
Allow your mind,
To open like curtains on a stage,
To a garden lush with color
And greenery.
PAUSE
Instinctively, you sit down,
On a white, wrought-iron bench,
A cool lattice of metal
On your thighs.
PAUSE
After a moment,
You spy a rustling of plants,
And a tiny, white-bearded man,
With a pointy, red cone
Perched on his head.
PAUSE
The little man
Eyes you with suspicion,
And looks intently upon
His garden.
PAUSE
The little man
Scuttles about,
And then comes
In front you.
Eyeing your from
The ground,
His whiskery brow furrows,
And then,
He crosses his arms,
As if puzzled.
PAUSE
“I guard this garden,”
He says with conviction.
“What garden do you guard?”
He asks inquisitively.
PAUSE
At first, you tell the gnome,
“I’m not a gnome.
I don’t care for gardens.”
But the little man persists.
“What garden do you care for?”
PAUSE
You take a momentary pause,
And think…
What garden do I care for?
PAUSE
While you ponder,
The gnome goes
About his business.
He checks the plants,
One-by-one,
Touches the soil,
With the palm of his
Tiny hands.
Then, he casts his gaze
Back on you,
Waiting for an answer.
PAUSE
Finally, a hint of a smile
Crosses his face,
Just as he turns to
Walk away.
“Not all gardens are outside,” he says.
And with that, he is gone.
PAUSE
Draw in a deep breath,
And let the words of the gnome
Sink in.
Not all gardens are outside.
PAUSE
As you whisper the words
To yourself,
They become clear.
Not all gardens are outside.
Some gardens live within us.
And they need us to care for them.
So, take care of the garden within.
Take care of yourself.
NAMASTE, BEAUTIFUL
