You alone,
Are in charge of your thoughts
And how you choose to view yourself and your world.
PAUSE…
Buddha said, “We are what we think. All that we are arises within our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.”
PAUSE…
So breathe in…
Deeply into your thoughts.
And see if you can simply notice what’s there.
LONG PAUSE…
Like clouds floating by in the sky,
Our thoughts move through our mind.
So see if you can reach up and grab one,
Just one of those passing thoughts.
Make it a good one,
One that makes you feel hopeful,
Excited,
Or joyful.
PAUSE…
Grab hold of it,
And don’t let go.
Breathe into this positive thought.
LONG PAUSE…
Notice how this makes you feel,
Light?
Refreshed?
Grateful?
Just be here with these feelings,
Aware of the connection between the positive thought you’ve chosen to focus on,
And the good feelings that exist.
