Today’s morning meditation will help to foster unity and community.
Allow yourself to settle,
And sink deep into your breath.
PAUSE…
Lower your shoulders,
Soften your belly,
And let your arms and legs go heavy.
PAUSE…
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.” J.K. Rowling.
The journey within is just the beginning.
Each day, you can continue to nurture unity and community by being a kind and compassionate person, and by supporting and uplifting those around you.
So Let’s Begin…
FOSTERING UNITY AND COMMUNITY MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
See if you can imagine yourself coming across a group of people.
These are the people in your community, and they are all unique and different.
Some may be old friends, others may be strangers, but they are all connected by a shared humanity.
PAUSE…
Take a moment to appreciate each person for who they are.
See their strengths and their challenges.
See their joys and their sorrows.
Recognize that each person is on their own journey and that their journey is just as important as yours.
PAUSE…
Now imagine that you and the people in your community are all holding hands, forming a circle.
This circle represents unity and togetherness.
Feel the warmth and comfort of the hands you’re holding and being surrounded by others who care about you and support you.
PAUSE…
As you stand in this circle, think about how you can support those around you and how they can support you.
Consider what it means to be a good friend, a good neighbor, and a good member of your community.
And feel yourself connected,
And united.
