Today’s morning meditation is a breathing exercise to practice allowing rest to be a part of your natural rhythms, so you can practice allowing more of it into your life.
Good morning, Beautiful,
This week, we’re meditating about rest.
Just like the cycles of our breathing,
Our lives have cycles of movement and rest.
All too often, we are focused so much on our movement, on our achieving and doing, that we devalue and decrease our rest.
But we need our rest just as much as we need our movement. To restore. To realign. To reenergize.
So this morning’s meditation is a breathing exercise to practice allowing rest to be a part of your natural rhythms, so you can practice allowing more of it into your life.
So Let’s Begin…

EXHALE AND REST MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
So let’s begin by taking one big, deep breath in,
Placing your full attention on the air coming in as it fills you up,
When your belly can’t expand anymore,
Hold it for a moment,
And then exhale completely,
Letting all that air out.
PAUSE…
Breathe in deep again,
Filling yourself with the movement of life as it enters you,
And then exhale,
Feeling yourself relax,
Letting yourself rest.
PAUSE…
Settle into a comfortable, easy rhythm of breathing.
And just let yourself be here.
Feeling the cycles of your breathing.
Breathing in and moving,
Breathing out and resting.
PAUSE…
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
PAUSE…
Let yourself relax further with every breath out.
Exhale and rest.
PAUSE…
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
PAUSE…
Inhale,
Exhale and rest.
LONG PAUSE…
Rest deeply now,
And honor these moments to replenish.
Trusting the inhale will come again,
And surrendering yourself to rest.
Namaste, Beautiful
