So Let’s Begin…

EMPTY HANDS, FULL SPIRIT MEDITATION SCRIPT
Settle into a comfortable position.
Let your body be supported.
Close your eyes if you’d like,
and take a deep breath in.
Exhale slowly,
releasing some of the tightness you’ve been holding.
PAUSE
Let your breath soften,
bringing ease into your chest and belly.
LONG PAUSE
Now imagine your hands.
See them holding a thick stack of slips of paper.
Each slip carries something you’ve been holding.
A worry.
A responsibility.
A “should.”
A list of what you think must be done.
PAUSE
Feel the weight of that stack in your hands.
How heavy it is to grip so much at once.
How tiring it feels to keep holding on.
PAUSE
Now, take one paper from the stack.
Look at it gently.
Then release it.
Let it float out of your hands,
dissolving into the air around you.
Notice how your hands feel lighter already.
PAUSE
Take another slip.
Another worry, another task, another weight.
Let it go.
Watch it float away,
disappearing like it was never yours to carry.
PAUSE
One by one,
slip after slip,
you release them.
Each time, your hands grow lighter,
your breath, softer.
PAUSE
Until at last,
your hands are empty.
There is nothing left to grip.
Nothing left to hold.
PAUSE
Pause here in this moment.
Feel the openness of your empty hands.
Feel the relief in your body.
PAUSE
Perhaps you may notice the space filling with something new.
A warmth.
A brightness.
A joy.
PAUSE
With your hands open and free,
you can feel your spirit expanding, full.
Full of calm.
Full of light.
Full of peace.
PAUSE
Breathe into that fullness now.
Let it rise through your chest,
soften your face,
spread through your whole body.
PAUSE
When your hands are empty,
your spirit is overflowing.
PAUSE
Stay here for a few moments,
resting in this gentle fullness,
soaking in the joy of openness.
LONG PAUSE
Namaste, Beautiful.
