Our theme this week is the ego.
And today, we’re going to go a bit deeper into one of those moments when our ego has been awakened,
So we can clearly see the difference between the voice of the ego and the voice of love,
And practice breathing in more love.
So Let’s Begin…

EGO VS. LOVE – EGO MEDITATION SCRIPT
So settle into comfort,
Relaxing your body.
Letting each breath in invite in fresh energy,
And each breath out release any tension.
PAUSE…
Now see if you can imagine a recent moment when you disagreed with someone.
Maybe they shared their thoughts about a topic,
Perhaps posting something on social media that you didn’t agree with.
Or maybe their actions were discomforting to you,
Like maybe they were driving way too slow in front of you.
Just bring to mind that moment.
PAUSE…
Your ego wants to tell them they’re wrong.
Your ego wants to prove that you’re right.
Your ego wants to point and blame.
Your ego wants to yell.
It feels like an explosive fire.
Sit and be present with this feeling.
PAUSE…
Now think about this moment again,
And this time, shine the light of love on it.
Love wants to understand.
Love wants to connect.
Love wants to ease pain.
Love wants to feel good.
Breathe in and allow the feelings of love to surround you.
PAUSE…
Let’s end our practice today with a little prayer.
May I pause and recognize my ego today,
And may my actions shine the light of love.
