Decide – Meditation for New Beginnings

Today’s meditation for new beginnings will give you a space to make your decisions from a place of hope and possibility.

This week, our theme is New Beginnings.

Michelle Obama said, “don’t ever make decisions based on fear. Make decisions based on hope and possibility. Make decisions based on what should happen. Not what shouldn’t.”

So the intention of this morning’s meditation is to give you a space to make your decisions from a place of hope and possibility.

So Let’s Begin…

DECIDE – MEDITATION FOR NEW BEGINNINGS MEDITATION SCRIPT

So go ahead and bring your attention to your breath.

Feeling the slow movement of your body as you breathe in and out.

Letting your rhythm elongate a little bit with each breath as you inhale deeper,

And exhale longer.

Invite your body to relax further as the soothing motion of your breathing slows everything down.

PAUSE…

What decision are you ready to make?

Your mind may want to answer that question right away,

Loudly, forcefully.

But instead, I invite you to take a deep breath in,

And see if you can feel the answers rising up from inside of you.

Appearing from the depths of your soul,

Led by the power of your desires.

They are covered in hope and possibility,

Free of fear and the noise from the past.

PAUSE…

Bring both of your hands to your belly,

And feel your answers.

What decisions am I ready to make?

And let yourself be here as you listen.

PAUSE…

Now take a deep breath in,

And feel a slight smile spread across your face.

You are full of hope.

Full of possibility.

And this new beginning is yours.
