Close your eyes and take a deep breath in, filling your lungs with air.
Exhale slowly and let your body relax.
PAUSE…
Accepting death and impermanence allows us to appreciate and cherish the people and things we have in our lives. When we understand that nothing lasts forever, we are more likely to make meaningful connections with others and to take care of ourselves and our relationships.
So Let’s Begin…
DEATH AND IMPERMANENCE MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
Breathe deeply and steadily, and bring your attention to the present moment.
Notice the sensation of your breath moving in and out of your body.
Allow yourself to simply be here, in this moment, without any expectation or judgment.
PAUSE…
Now, allow yourself to acknowledge death and impermanence as a natural part of life.
Everything that is born will die, and nothing stays the same forever.
This can be difficult to accept, but it is a fact of life that we must all face.
And when we do, there is deep beauty in that acceptance.
PAUSE…
As you continue to breathe deeply, bring to mind a loved one who has passed away.
Remember the moments you shared with them,
The laughter,
The love,
And the memories.
Acknowledge the sadness and grief that comes with their loss, but also allow yourself to feel gratitude for the time you had together.
PAUSE..
As you remember your loved one, remind yourself that death is not the end, but rather a natural transition from one form to another.
Just as seasons change, so do our lives.
PAUSE…
The memories, love, and wisdom we gain from our loved ones continue to live on in us,
And in the hearts of those who knew them.
PAUSE…
Now, bring to mind the impermanence of your own life.
Know that one day you too will transition from this form,
Into the next.
Let this perspective fill you with a commitment to live each day with purpose and love.
PAUSE…
Cherish the moments you have with loved ones, and make the most of the time you have.
PAUSE…
As you continue to breathe deeply, imagine yourself wrapped in a warm, comforting blanket.
This blanket represents the love, wisdom, and memories of those who have passed,
As well as the potential for new experiences and growth in your own life.
PAUSE…
Allow yourself to be held and comforted by this blanket,
As you clearly see the divine beauty in the circle of life.
PAUSE…
Namaste, Beautiful
