Today’s morning meditation will help you to cultivate optimism.
With so much uncertainty and negativity in the world, it can be easy to feel discouraged and hopeless.
But, with a little intention and effort, we can train ourselves to see the good in even the most challenging situations.
Of course, cultivating optimism is not always easy.
There will be days when we feel down and discouraged, and that’s okay.
It’s important to remember that we are all human and that we are allowed to feel a range of emotions.
So Let’s Begin…
CULTIVATE OPTIMISM MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT
So bring yourself inside,
And connect with your breath.
Focusing on the air as you inhale,
And exhale.
Letting each breath out relax you deeper,
Until you’re here,
Deeply present in this moment.
LONG PAUSE…
Now see if you can think of a time when you felt optimistic and hopeful.
Perhaps it was a time when you felt excited about the future, or when you were jovial with a group of friends.
PAUSE…
Whatever the experience, hold it in your mind and feel its warmth and brightness spreading through your body.
LONG PAUSE…
Now, turn your attention to yourself.
As you inhale, quietly or silently say to yourself, “May I cultivate optimism in my heart.”
As you exhale, feel that intention settling in your body, filling you with a sense of hope and possibility.
LONG PAUSE…
Optimism feels light,
And fresh.
It feels exciting and new.
It feels hopeful and profound.
PAUSE…
Feel optimism spread throughout your body, mind and soul,
Raising you up from the depths of any darkness that you may have been feeling,
And reassuring you that everything is okay.
You are okay.
And life is good.
