So Let’s Begin…

BEGINNINGS AND POSSIBILITIES MEDITATION SCRIPT

Take a wonderful, deep breath,

A breath that sinks you

Into the stillness of yourself.

A breath that relaxes

And centers you.

PAUSE

As your breathing continues,

Listen to the gentle hum 

Of your breath,

As it flows in and out.

In and out.

PAUSE

Now, imagine being on a farm,

And holding a single seed 

in your hands.

You don’t know what

This seed grows,

But you know there are possibilities,

That the seed

Is the beginning of life.

PAUSE

You place the seed

In the rich, black soil,

Add a little water,

And let Nature evolve.

PAUSE

Then, you move to a barn,

Where a chestnut-colored mare 

is drenched in sweat and

About to give birth.

PAUSE

Patiently, you wait

Until a beautiful foal

Makes her debut

Into the world.

PAUSE

And with this foal,

You see her possibilities.

Will she be a race horse

And win titles?

Will she be a child’s best friend?

Will she be the relief for a stressed parent?

Possibilities. Beginnings.

PAUSE

As you leave the barn,

Take a minute

And reflect on your beginnings.

On where you’ve come

To where you are.

Sit with this.

PAUSE 

And, now breathe,

Because the beginnings

And possibilities

Still exist for you.

Breathe them in.

PAUSE

And, as you come back 

To your room,

Back to your center,

Allow a smile to grace your face.

You are ready to embark on

A new day of beginnings,

A new day of possibilities.
