Awaken to the Good (Awaken) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation gives you a chance to become aware of all the good in your life and the world. 

Good morning, beautiful. 

Our theme this week is awaken.

For the purpose of this week’s meditations, awaken means to become consciously aware of something.  

It can be so easy to focus on what’s wrong, what’s broken, and what hurts. The news and social media can shove it all in your face, even when you’re not looking for it. And since we know that what we focus on expands, the intention of this morning’s meditation is to awaken to all the good in our lives, and in the world. So together, we can expand the good.

So Let’s Begin…

AWAKEN TO THE GOOD AWAKEN MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

So let yourself settle,

And bring your attention to your breath.

Focus on the slow,

Steady rhythm of your inhale,

And exhale.

PAUSE…

Notice the cool air going in and out of your nose.

Feel the air filling and expanding your body,

And then existing and contracting you.

PAUSE…

Be here now.

In this moment.

Settled into the stillness that exists within you.

Calm.

Peaceful.

Clear.

PAUSE…

Awaken, my dear,

To all the good that abounds.

To the air within your lungs,

To the miracle of this moment.

PAUSE…

Awaken, dear one,

To the good permating your life,

To the people who love you,

The home that shelters you,

The opportunities that hover all around you,

And the food that nourishes you.

PAUSE…

Awaken, my love,

To the good in the world,

The oceans of kindness that is our human currency,

The hope that turns into dreams,

The dreams that turn into action,

The action that is supported,

And the support that creates positive change.

Change for our people.

Change for our creatures.

Change for our plant.

Change for our universe.

PAUSE…

Awaken, dear one,

To the depths of your soul,

The caverns and crevices yet explored.

There is so much good within you,

And around you,

So marinate here with it all.
