Awaken to the Dark (Awaken) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation will help you awaken to the dark within you and within the world, so you can learn from it and breathe love into them.

Good morning, beautiful. 

Our theme this week is awaken.

For the purpose of this week’s meditations, awaken means to become consciously aware of something.  

To awaken to the dark means to become aware of what lies inside the shadows without judgement, but with understanding and compassion.  To become aware of the sadness, fear, anxiety, anger and resentment that lies within us, others and the world around us, and to bravely step into those shadows with love. 

So Let’s Begin…

AWAKEN TO THE DARK AWAKEN MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

So let’s begin by relaxing deeply into comfort,

And finding a space of stillness.

PAUSE…

If any thoughts arise,

Just gently let them go,

Allowing them to pass like clouds in the sky.

PAUSE…

Awaken to the dark,

The parts of you that might be labeled as “bad.”

The shame,

The anger,

The fear,

The regret,

The anxiety,

The pain.

PAUSE…

Awaken to them,

And know that within these shadows lies wisdom,

And strength,

And growth.

PAUSE…

Awaken to the dark in the world around you,

The pain,

The fear,

The loss,

The anger.

PAUSE…

And know that when love and hope and compassion are breathed into these shadows,

They can heal.

They can transform.

They can evolve.

PAUSE…

Awaken to the dark, dear one.

With hope,

With your love,

With your light.
