So Let’s Begin…

AN OFFERING OF THANKS TO YOUR BODY MEDITATION SCRIPT
Come into stillness.
Let the noise soften,
And return to the sacred temple of you.
PAUSE
Take a breath in…
And exhale slowly.
Letting go of the rush.
Letting go of the shoulds.
Letting go of the striving.
PAUSE
Today, we’re here to offer thanks—
To this body
That’s carried you through it all.
PAUSE
Begin at your feet.
Feel them resting.
Whisper your thanks:
Thank you for every step you’ve taken—
Even the ones you were afraid to take.
PAUSE
Move to your legs.
The muscles, the knees, the skin.
Thank you for holding me up,
For walking me through my life,
For bending, running, dancing, and kneeling in surrender.
PAUSE
Your hips…
That sacred center of strength and creation.
Thank you for grounding me,
For holding emotions too heavy to speak,
For giving me the power to move forward.
PAUSE
Bring awareness to your belly.
Its rise and fall. Its stories and softness.
Thank you for digesting all that I’ve taken in—
Food, emotion, life.
I forgive myself for every harsh word I’ve spoken to you.
LONG PAUSE
Now your heart.
So faithful. So tender. So brave.
Thank you for beating for me every day,
For expanding with joy,
And breaking open when I needed to grow.
PAUSE
Feel into your arms and hands.
Thank you for holding, lifting, giving, creating.
For every hug you’ve offered,
Every time you’ve held another through their storm.
PAUSE
Your throat.
Your voice.
Thank you for every truth you’ve dared to speak,
And even for the times you stayed quiet to protect me.
PAUSE
Now your beautiful face.
Your jaw, your cheeks, your eyes.
Thank you for smiling even when it hurt,
For crying when I needed release,
For witnessing life so fully.
LONG PAUSE
And now,
Feel your whole body,
Lit up with appreciation.
This miraculous, breathing, moving, living being.
PAUSE
Let gratitude flood your cells.
Like warm golden light,
Soothing every wound,
Honoring every scar,
Celebrating every function.
LONG PAUSE
Thank you, dear body.
I see you.
I love you.
You are perfectly imperfect.
LONG LONG PAUSE
Namaste, Beautiful.
