This week, our theme is mothering.

These meditations are not just for those who have raised children. It’s also for anyone who has been mothered – whether that was by your biological mom or other incredible women. And it’s also for anyone who has mothered those around her; perhaps you’ve been a caregiver for an aging loved one or even mentored someone else.

Mothering in this series is meant as a verb to encompass the experience of deeply caring for and being cared for by others.

Today’s meditation will give you the space to experience exquisite alone time, so you can rejuvenate and feel restored.

ALONE TIME FOR MOM – MOTHERING MORNING MEDITATION SCRIPT

Relax, mama,

And come into your special place of stillness.

Where no one can reach you,

And you can plug in.

PAUSE…

Find your breath,

The smoothe waves of air flowing easily in and out of your nose,

Giving you life with every breath in,

And relaxing you deeply as you release with every breath out.

Slow down,

And breathe.

PAUSE…

Listen for the silence.

The calming hum of the absence of noise,

Of requests,

Of thoughts,

Of tasks,

Of responsibilities,

Of worries.

Feel them all melt away from you with every exhale,

As you sit here,

Calm within the silence.

LONG PAUSE…

Feel yourself being restored,

Rejuvenated,

Connected.

Breathing life into your soul with every inhale.

Be here.

Alone.

Relaxed.

Full.
