Align Your Actions (Alignment) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation is an opportunity to align your actions.

Good morning, beautiful.

This week, our theme is alignment.

For most of us, living our values through our actions can be challenging, especially as we shoulder responsibilities and expectations. It takes an enormous amount of self-awareness to align our actions with our souls, to live intentionally in everything we do. It’s where the rubber meets the road.

A great place to start is to become aware of areas of discomfort or dissatisfaction in your life. Are you unhappy or unsatisfied in your work? Your health? Your relationships? Take a deeper look in and you’re bound to find that your actions are mis-aligned with your true self. In other words, you may say that you value fulfilling, impactful work. But you’re working a job you hate.

None of us are perfect at this, so go easy on yourself as you meditate today, and use it as a starting point to take a baby step in the direction of alignment.

So Let’s Begin…

So just let yourself settle here,

And find the soothing rhythm of your breath.

PAUSE…

Let it slow you down,

As you breathe in deeper,

And breathe out longer.

LONG PAUSE…

What areas of your life are out of alignment with your actions?

Just be here for a bit as you observe what comes up.

LONG PAUSE…

Now find your breath again,

Letting your exhale release any emotion or heaviness that may have come up.

PAUSE…

What steps can you take in the direction toward alignment?

LONG PAUSE…

What comes up for you may bring up fear, defensiveness or judgement.

Or, it may feel inspired and motivated.

Whatever is here is completely okay.

This is the work of living in alignment.

And I honor you for being here today.
