Slow Down Tonight Sleep Meditation

Tonight’s sleep meditation will help you slow down and fall asleep.

The pace of the day,

Is full of speed,

Tasks, emotions and plans. 

So shift from the movement.

Shift from the to-do’s,

And surrender to the moment at hand.

So Let’s Begin…

SLOW DOWN TONIGHT SLEEP MEDITATION SCRIPT

Breathe in deeply,

Allowing your inhale,

To reach all the way to your toes,

Hold it here for a moment,

And then release,

Relaxing your body and letting it go.

PAUSE…

Breathe in slower,

Every single time,

Expanding your breath bit by bit. 

Breathe out longer,

Every single time,

Letting your body know it’s time to submit. 

PAUSE…

Imagine the slow breeze,

Kissing your face,

And pulling you into its song.

Watch the slow breeze,

Gently blowing the leaves,

Swaying the trees along.

PAUSE…

Slow down now, 

The time is here to rest,

Open yourself to the night.

Let her take over,

The tasks of the day,

And infuse you with a loving light.

LONG PAUSE…

If the thoughts want to play,

If your mind is loud,

Come deep into your breath instead.

The thoughts will dissolve,

Your mind will clear,

Your body will melt into your bed.

PAUSE…

There’s more time tomorrow,

To pick up the details,

To live your life in motion.

But be here right now,

With the stillness of the night,

And surrender to the rhythms of the ocean.

LONG PAUSE…

Feel the tempo,

Surrender to the flow,

Of the slow and peaceful night.

Let the rhythm,

Live in your bones,

And melt you deep in your bed tonight.

PAUSE…

Slow down even more, 

Let everything dissolve,

As the cadence rocks you to sleep.

You’re made up of love,

Of light and of strenth,

So let go completely, it’s time to fall asleep.
