So Let’s Begin…

RELEASE THE GRIP OF THE DAY BEFORE BED MEDITATION SCRIPT

 

There is a knot within you,

A tightness that has woven itself throughout your day,

Binding you, pulling you in different directions.

You’ve felt it,

Twisting, growing tighter with every worry, every thought.

 

PAUSE…

 

But now, you are here.

And this is the moment to begin unwinding,

To let the knots unravel,

To release the tension that no longer serves you.

 

PAUSE…

 

Close your eyes,

And feel the tightness within you.

Where does it sit?

In your chest, your shoulders, your neck?

 

PAUSE…

 

Wherever it resides, breathe into that space.

Feel the knot of tension beginning to loosen,

With each slow, deep breath.

 

PAUSE…

 

Breathe in…

And as you exhale, feel the first twist of tension begin to unravel.

Like a cord that has been pulled too tightly,

It starts to release, bit by bit,

Uncoiling gently, easily.

 

PAUSE…

 

The tension that has twisted through your body,

Through your thoughts,

Is now beginning to soften.

 

PAUSE…

 

With each breath, you feel it unwinding,

Releasing its grip on you.

 

PAUSE…

 

Breathe in again…

And this time, as you exhale,

Feel the tension unravel further,

Like a rope slowly loosening,

Falling slack, no longer holding you so tightly.

 

PAUSE…

 

It begins in your chest,

Where the tightness had once twisted deep.

Now, it unwinds,

The knot loosening,

The tension lifting.

Your chest expands with ease,

Breathing freely, fully.

 

PAUSE…

 

The unwinding spreads to your shoulders,

Where the weight of the day had gathered.

Feel the knots there begin to soften,

Each twist releasing with gentle ease,

Falling away with every breath you take.

 

PAUSE…

 

Now, the tension in your neck,

That twisting, winding tightness,

It too begins to unravel.

With each slow exhale,

The tension releases,

Uncoiling until your neck is free,

Relaxed, at ease.

 

LONG PAUSE…

 

Breathe in,

And let the final strands of tension fall away.

From your back, your legs, your arms—

Every part of you unwinds,

And releases,

Until you are free,

Completely at ease.

 

PAUSE…

 

The knots have loosened,

The tension has unraveled,

And now, there is only softness,

Only ease.

 

PAUSE…

 

Let yourself sink into this feeling.

The twisting tension, 

The grip of the day is gone,

And in its place is calm,

Like a river flowing smoothly,

Like the gentle rhythm of your breath.

 

PAUSE…

 

Breathe in,

And know that you are free from the grip of tension.

Breathe out,

And let your body fully unwind.

 

LONG PAUSE…

 

There is nothing left holding you now.

No more tightness,

No more strain.

You have unraveled it all,

And now, you can rest.

 

PAUSE…

 

Let the night cradle you,

Let sleep come easily,

As you drift into peaceful, restful slumber,

Unwound,

Unburdened,

Completely free.
