PUT YOUR DAY TO REST SLEEP MEDITATION SCRIPT
So come along with me as you put your day to rest.
Focusing on your breathing,
The rising and falling of your chest.
The air is cool on your nose,
As you breathe in peace,
Inhaling in deeply,
And then you release.
Release,
Release.
PAUSE…
Your body is soft,
But perhaps you’re aware,
Of thoughts about your day,
Popping up without care.
PAUSE…
They want to organize the details,
Give meaning to what occurred,
They want to prepare for tomorrow,
And relive the day, word for word.
PAUSE…
These thoughts, they’re loud,
And want you to play,
But the true path to peace,
Is to let go of the day.
PAUSE…
So as these thoughts pop up,
Imagine you’re breathing them out,
Keeping your attention instead,
On the breathing in,
And breathing out.
PAUSE…
Say goodbye to your day,
And everything that went on.
And let the gratitude wash over you,
That you’re here and the day is done.

Breathe in the love,
From your family and your friends.
The river of blessings,
That never truly ends.
