So Let’s Begin…

MEDITATION FOR CANCER SCRIPT
Sink into stillness,Â
And let your body rest.Â
You are held by the ground,
supported by the unseen arms of the earth.
PAUSE
There is no rush now.
No need to be anything but here.
And breathing.
PAUSE
Let your breath arrive softly —
like the first wind of spring.
Inhale… gathering all the pieces of yourself.
Exhale… slowly, slowly… letting go.
PAUSE
And as you breathe,
sense something delicate stirring in the air —
a flicker, a hush.
PAUSE
Out of the quiet,
a single butterfly appears.
PAUSE
She’s small,
And her wings are fragile paper,
Painted in the colors of dusk and dawn.
But in that small body,
she carries something vast,
the weight of hope,
the whisper of healing.
PAUSE
Watch her now,
as she flutters closer,
her flight uneven,
impossibly light,
as if she has been traveling lifetimes
Just to find you here.
LONG PAUSE
I see you, you hear her whisper.
I know the heaviness you carry.
Let me stay with you awhile.
PAUSE
She circles you slowly,
each pass a soft blessing —
each beat of her wings
stirring the air around your heart.
PAUSE
And where she passes,
the pain loosens,
the tight places begin to breathe again.
PAUSE
Your chest,
where fear has lived,
softens.
Your belly,
where worry has settled,
finds stillness.
PAUSE
The butterfly lands lightly on your shoulder now,
weightless,
but you feel her,
Steady and pure.
She carries no fear of what is happening inside you.
She knows life is fragile,
and still, she flies.
PAUSE
Let her be your reminder:
You, too, are delicate.
And you, too, are miraculously strong.
PAUSE
In this moment,
there is no battle.
There is only this butterfly,
Who understands transformation better than most.
LONG PAUSE
You are not your diagnosis.
You are not your pain.
You are a soul mid-transformation,
becoming, always becoming.
PAUSE
Stay here.
Breathe here.
And imagine,
you and this butterfly,
resting together in a vast field,
wildflowers blooming around you,
the sky is wide and endless.
PAUSE
Somewhere in the distance,
others are sitting just like this,
learning how to breathe again,
learning how to hope again.
You are not alone.
You have never been alone.
So breathe,Â
And feel the air fill you,
Heal you.Â
LONG PAUSE
The butterfly flutters her wings gently,
As she leaves,Â
Reminding you of her gift,
A quiet reminder,
tucked just beneath your skin:
I am with you.
You are whole.
Namaste, Beautiful
