The thoughts and feelings swirl,
Like snow on a stormy night.
It all feels heavy and fast.
The worries and the fears,
Mix with goals and dreams,
Creating clouds you can’t see past.
PAUSE…
So close your eyes softly,
And fill yourself up,
With air that clears all away.
Calm yourself down,
And bring yourself here,
You’ve got this…just for today.
LONG PAUSE…
Sometimes those dreams,
Are so far away,
It feels like they’ll never be yours.
Sometimes those demons,
Keep creeping upon you,
How long can you hold shut the doors?
PAUSE…
Take a big, deep breath…
And come back inside,
Whenever it all feels too hard.
Just for today,
Do the best you can,
Love will be your guard.
