FLOAT IN THE DEEP SILENCE OF THE NIGHT SLEEP MEDITATION SCRIPT
Close your eyes,
And bring your attention here.
Feeling your head on your pillow,
Slowly following the cadence of your breath,
Listening to the gentle hums of sound around you.
PAUSE…
Breathe deeply,
Filling yourself up with fresh air,
And then exhale,
As you relax further into your bed.
Feeling yourself lulled into the soothing rhythms of your body,
And you melt even further with every breath.
LONG PAUSE…
Now see if you can feel the heaviness of the day arise within you.
Allow it all to collect here,
In the center of your chest.
The tasks left undone,
The worries about tomorrow,
All the details swimming around in your mind.
Invite them all here.
Each thought swirls around like a tiny comet,
Bursting with energy as its glow trails behind it.
Watch them gather in your chest,
Swirling around one another,
Creating a moving sphere of light.
PAUSE…
You watch, mesmerized by the moving sphere,
Turning like a planet of streaking lights.
You notice how powerful each of those little comets are.
Each thought.
Each emotion.
They burn with the glow of energy to attract your attention,
To convince you of their importance.

But tonight, you let them gather here,
Distancing yourself from their stories,
And instead, observing them all from afar,
Knowing that sleep exists on the other side of their light.

So feel it all gather inside of you, dear one,
And then imagine that every breath out releases them from you.
PAUSE…
Each breath out dims their light.

Each breath out dismantles the planet of comets.
PAUSE…
Until eventually,
Only stardust exists.

The space is quiet with nothingness.
Only the soft hum of your own body exists.
The silence surrounds you,
And embraces you,
Seeping deeply into you,
And melting you deeper into the night.
