So Let’s Begin…

CELEBRATING MOTHERS: HELD IN LOVE: A SOOTHING SLEEP MEDITATION FOR MOTHERS SCRIPT
Settle in, dear one.
Let your body be received,
Let the bed beneath you hold you,
As you have held so many before.
PAUSE…
Close your eyes,
And bring your attention inward.
PAUSE…
The day is behind you now.
The needs, the worries, the endless giving—
For this moment, they are no longer yours to carry.
PAUSE…
Draw in a slow, steady breath,
And as you exhale, feel the weight of the day begin to release.
PAUSE…
You have given so much.
You have carried, comforted, and held.
But tonight…
Tonight, you are the one being held.
PAUSE…
Breathe in,
And feel the warmth of love surrounding you.
Breathe out,
And allow yourself to sink into its embrace.
LONG PAUSE…
Now, bring your awareness to your body,
To the places that ache,
To the spaces that feel tired,
To the muscles that have worked without pause.
PAUSE…
Gently, let your breath travel to these places,
As if whispering to them,
“You can rest now. You are safe.”
PAUSE…
Feel your shoulders soften.
Your jaw unclench.
Your belly release its hold.
The tension loosening, unwinding, dissolving.
LONG PAUSE…
Now imagine a presence beside you.
A loving presence, warm and strong.
One that asks for nothing,
Needs nothing,
One that is simply here,
To hold you.
PAUSE…
It wraps itself around you,
Cradling you in a gentle, steady embrace.
Like a mother holding her child.
Like the universe holding the stars.
Like the earth holding the trees.
PAUSE…
You are held.
You are safe.
PAUSE…
Let yourself surrender,
Let yourself be small,
Let yourself be soft.
You do not need to be strong right now.
You do not need to hold it all.
PAUSE…
The world will not break if you rest.
The love you give so freely does not disappear when you sleep.
You are still love, even in stillness.
PAUSE…
Let this love fill you.
Let it restore you.
PAUSE…
And as you drift deeper into sleep,
Feel yourself carried,
Feel yourself wrapped in comfort,
Feel yourself completely and utterly held.
PAUSE…
Calm.
Quiet.
Whole.
LONG PAUSE…
Sweet Dreams, Beautiful
