A SLEEP MEDITATION FOR GENTLE SELF-FORGIVENESS AND PEACE MEDITATION SCRIPT
Close your eyes, dear one.
Let yourself arrive here,
In the safety of your bed.
PAUSE
Take in a slow breath,
And release.
PAUSE
Feel your forehead soften,
Your eyelids grow heavy.
Feel your jaw unclench,
And your tongue fall loosely in your mouth.
PAUSE
Let your shoulders drop,
Your chest open,
Your arms settle into ease.
PAUSE
Feel the weight of your body
Sinking deeper into your bed.
The mattress beneath you holding you,
The covers wrapping you in comfort.
PAUSE
Now,
Bring to mind what you’ve been carrying.
The thing you keep replaying.
The mistake you’ve struggled to forgive.
The words you’ve spoken to yourself in anger.
The moment that lingers like an ache.
PAUSE
Simply allow it to come to the surface.
Allow it to take shape before you.
PAUSE
See it now—
This regret, this burden—
As an anchor.
Heavy.
Solid.
Cold.
A weight you’ve been dragging
In the waters of your life.
PAUSE
Notice how it has held you.
Notice how it has kept you tethered.
Notice how it has pressed against your heart.
PAUSE
And now, with love,
Lay your hand upon that anchor.
Thank it for teaching you.
Thank it for showing you what matters.
Thank it for guiding you closer to the truth of yourself.
But know this:
It was never meant to be yours forever.

Breathe deeply now.
And with your exhale,
Begin to loosen your grip.
PAUSE
Feel the chain fall away from your hands.
See the anchor begin to slip into the depths,
Slowly sinking,
Lower and lower,
Until it disappears completely
Into the quiet waters of the night.

Notice what is left in its place.
Notice the space that opens in your heart.
Notice the lightness in your body.
You are free, love.
You are free.
PAUSE
Forgiveness is not forgetting.
It is not excusing.
It is remembering the truth:
That you are human.
That you are learning.
That you are love in motion.
PAUSE
Whisper to yourself now,
As softly as you can:
I release the anchor.
I forgive myself.
I am free to rest in peace tonight.
PAUSE
Feel those words travel through you.
Let them wrap around the tender places.
Let them soothe the ache you’ve been holding.

Every breath now is forgiveness.
Every exhale is release.
Every inhale is love returning home to you.
PAUSE
