Don’t let the softness fool you, dear one.

Don’t let the love convince you you’re weak.

You are so much deeper,

Take a deep breath in,

The aggressive, powerful energy that is a part of you.

She learned to be quiet.

Learned to hold back her words,

Learned to make herself small. 

You learned to fear her,

I forgive you for hiding.

The Peaceful Deer Sleep Meditation

Tonight’s sleep meditation will help you fall asleep easily as you invoke the spirit of the peaceful deer.

The breeze gently brushes the trees,

And whispers its songs into the wind.

Soft, light notes,

That tenderly hum through the forest. 

PAUSE…

The rustling leaves give away,

Whatever creature that disturbed it.

The birds, 

The lizards,

The little animals,

Make their sound and are gone before you can see.

PAUSE…

But all of a sudden, 

You hear those crunching leaves,

And know something different is there.

It’s softer, 

Bigger,

And so your eyes comb the landscape.

PAUSE…

Your eyes follow the sound,

And sure enough she’s there,

A mama deer and her fawn,

Eating the grass,

Before the sun goes down,

Peaceful,

And though right in front of you,

Full of magic.

The baby is curious and steps toward you,

And you feel the innocence of her stroll.

PAUSE…

Her brown eyes pull you in,

And now you’re frozen,

Captivated by what you see.

LONG PAUSE…

You’re one and the same,

You and this deer,

You both have magic within you.

See the peace inside of her,

And know you have the same.

PAUSE…

She doesn’t worry,

She doesn’t stress,

She lives in this moment with you.

PAUSE…

So be here with her,

Completely open and raw.

And let the peace flood in.

Put your hand on her gently,

And feel her warmth,

Her strength,

Tonight’s sleep meditation will help you relax and fall asleep peacefully when you’re sick.

Fall into the sea of soft blankets tonight,

And let them hold you close. 

I know you’re sick,

And that your body is out of sync.

But breathe deeply, my dear,

And wrap yourself in peace.

Let it cover you, 

Caress you,

And heal you.

So settle in,

And take some time to move around,

And find comfort,

Letting it be okay that it might feel a little different,

Than when you’re well.

Take More Chances (Yes) Morning Meditation

Today’s morning meditation is a practice to open yourself to take more chances.

Good morning, beautiful. 

This week, our theme is yes.

“One life. Just one. Why aren’t we running like we’re on fire towards our wildest dreams?” 

I saw this quote recently and it reignited the fire within me to live this life as vivaciously as I can. While I don’t believe in just one life, I do believe that this particular life we’re living deserves as much joy, passion and aliveness as possible. 

Yet it’s so easy for us to submit to a routine life that is just okay, that feels safe, that checks the boxes that have been imposed upon us. 

But that is not what life is meant to be.  It’s meant to be wild, passionate, risky and vibrant. So this meditation is an opportunity for you to sit with yourself, so you can bravely identify how you might be able to take more chances, and live a life that is more alive.

So Let’s Begin…

So take a deep breath,

And let it bring you inside. 

Away from your thoughts,

And deeply rested in the rhythm of your body.

Here all your worries can dissolve,

If you just trust,

And surrender into the safe arms of sleep.

Today’s guided meditation is perfect for when you are overflowing with gratitude, or want to tap into the pools of gratitude within you.

It begins with a single raindrop,

A recognition of something good.

Your conscious mind zooms in,

And observes the watery prism.

Its curves,

Its texture,

And the sparks of magic glistening inside.

The rush of gratitude,

Spreads down your body.

You feel lighter.

Today’s morning meditation will give you an opportunity to say yes today.

Good morning, beautiful. 

This week, our theme is yes.

Yes means new.  Yes means possibility.  Yes means more. 

Yes means receiving.  Yes means living. Yes means abundance. 

We are not talking about the yes that feels overwhelming and heavy.  We’re talking about the yes that makes you feel alive.  

This morning, we’re taking some time to open ourselves up to saying yes today.  In ways that feel good, safe and empowering.

Today’s morning meditation is designed to let you sit in gratitude for it all.

Good morning, beautiful. 

This week, our theme is look back

My intention in creating these meditations is to give you an opportunity to reflect back on your life this past year.  To give you this sacred space to identify the lessons learned, the moments created, and the love that existed within it all.  And to honor the growth you’ve had and ultimately, to feel deeply grateful for who you’ve become and where you are now.  These meditations are not meant to keep you in the past, but to use it to deepen your presence and to consciously shape your future.  

Today, we’re going to sit and joyfully marinate in gratitude for everything this past year has been, the ups, the downs and everything in between.  I hope it leaves you feeling light and deeply fulfilled.

My parents taught me at a very early age that life gets better with every year that passes.  Even if that year has been deeply challenging, we are always growing.  Always expanding.  Always learning.
